We were a lot younger then! A short film made at our opening ceremony in 2012.
See our first cohort of pupils open their GCSE results in front of a BBC reporter!
Our pupils made a film to encourage teachers to come and work at Reach.
Our embedded PhD researcher, Vicky Hirst, reflects on her time as a teacher, the enormous impact that wider socio-economic conditions have on young people's school experience, and how Reach Children's Hub is building a cradle-to-career model of support.
The Foundation is the corporate member of the Reach Academy Trust, which runs Reach Academy Feltham, a school which opened in 2012 and has quickly built an excellent reputation.
Reach Academy Feltham was founded in 2012 and is an all-through school. We founded the school because we believe passionately that all young people, regardless of background, can achieve great things. Our goal is to provide all of our pupils with the opportunity to go to university if they wish and to live happy, healthy and productive lives. We have created a community of pupils, parents and teachers united by the highest expectations of what every young person can achieve, and by the commitment to help young people to excel.
Our new Sixth Form builds on the successes of Reach Academy Feltham – a primary and secondary school already rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and with exceptional GCSE outcomes. It shares the same passionate staff and exceptional facilities. It is founded on the same core belief: that every child should have the chance to live a life of choice and opportunity.
The Reach Foundation is now running Reach Children's Hub, a new initiative providing cradle-to-career programmes and services to benefit local children, young people and families in Feltham.
