Elective curriculum, a unique learning environment, more freedom & responsibility, volunteering & work experience and overseas trips.
Unique Learning Environment
Our inspiring learning environment will give you a range of spaces to study and work with friends outside of lessons. Our Sixth Form Centre reflects the learning and social spaces of students at university, and has a café, study hall, gym, roof terrace, city farm and high-spec science laboratories.
More Freedom & Responsibility
As with universities, there will be no strict uniform policy at Reach Academy Sixth Form, although we expect you to dress appropriately for a day of study.
There will be plenty of opportunities for trips, visits and speakers within your subjects, as well as in the Elective Curriculum. You’ll also have the chance to travel abroad, including a cohort visit to Washington DC.
Exploring future career options is a vital part of any Sixth Form. As well as hosting visitors from a broad field of careers, we will support you in arranging work experience and placements, ensuring that you’re prepared for making informed choices at 18.
We offer an exciting programme of extra-curricular opportunities, including volunteering, school leadership and the chance to develop hobbies and interests. As well as this, sport, exercise and wellbeing activities are built into your timetable, helping you keep fit and healthy while you study.
