Fiona Dyke - Deputy Headteacher (Curriculum and Assessment)
Fiona has a degree in in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge and graduated in 2007. Following this Fiona trained to teach through Teach First and worked for three years in a school in South East London where she taught Sociology, Citizenship, Religious Studies, Psychology, Humanities and History! She then spent some time travelling and working in graduate recruitment for Teach First before realising that her heart really lay in the classroom. Most recently Fiona has been the Assistant Principal with responsibility for inclusion at a large academy in Hackney. Outside of work Fiona’s favourite things are brunch, mini breaks and Nordic crime dramas (although not on a school night!)
Georgia Crew - Assistant Headteacher (Designated Safeguarding Lead)
Georgia has over 10 years experience working with at risk and vulnerable young people and adults, and supporting their emotional and behavioural needs. Georgia graduated from the University of the West of England with a BSc in Psychology and has gained additional qualifications in the study of Children and Young people and in Working with families with complex needs.
Georgia has worked with various vulnerable groups to support them in rebuilding their lives and reintegrating back into society. This involved supporting some of the most vulnerable young people in Britain, where she helped them develop the skills to manage their emotions, their behaviours and develop their aspirations. Previously to working at Reach Georgia worked at Hounslow Council where she was responsible for working 1:1 and in groups with at risk young people. Georgia is dedicated to supporting the emotional well being of the students and all the families at Reach Academy.
Jon Hutchinson - Assistant Headteacher (Curriculum and Assessment)
Jon graduated with first class honours in Philosophy from Heythrop College, University of London. Before university, Jon worked for several children’s charities, including spending four years as a telephone counsellor for Childline. After graduating, Jon trained through the Teach First programme and taught in northeast London for two years. Jon is fascinated by educational theory and research, and has recently completed Masters of Education with the University of Cambridge whilst teaching at Reach. Jon has taught both primary and A-Level Philosophy.
Verity Howorth - Assistant Headteacher (Curriculum and Assessment)
Verity graduated from University College London with a First Class Honours degree in French with Italian in 2011, having spent a year at the University of Avignon in France as part of her course. She then began working at a school in North London on the Teach First programme in 2011, where she trained to teach French across all year groups. Verity joined Reach Academy Feltham as Lead French teacher in 2014 and she is thrilled to now see lots of pupils enjoying studying either French, Spanish, or both! In 2016, she took on the role of Careers Coordinator and is delighted to be working with a range of organisations and representatives from exciting industries to share their expertise and ensure our children are in a position to make positive decisions about their future.
Francesca Reid - Assistant Headteacher (Culture and Relationships)
Francesca graduated from the University of Manchester with a BA in Art History and Visual Studies. After finishing university in 2011, she moved to Argentina, where she taught English as an additional language. After living in Argentina for a year, she returned to England and began working as an interventions assistant. The following year, Francesca began her PGCE through Teach First. Before moving to Reach, Francesca was teaching in a west London primary school.
Phil Fowkes - Assistant Headteacher (Culture and Relationships)
Phil graduated from the University of York in 2010 with a BA in history. During his studies Phil also worked for the widening participation office providing outreach programmes for secondary pupils thinking of attending university. Upon graduating Phil traveled for a year before joining Teach First in the West Midlands where he taught, and later led, history in an urban school in Birmingham. Phil then moved to London in 2013 to work at Reach Academy leading humanities and a year group before joining the senior leadership team.
